COVID Friendly ways to Entertain your Wedding Guests

With COVID restrictions, dance parties aren’t permitted at weddings right now. DON’T PANIC THOUGH! There are many ways to entertain your guests and leave them with a memory they’ll never forget.

Luckily, there are lots of options to choose from to keep everyone safe, but also liven up the party. You can incorporate multiple entertainment ideas to ensure your guests never have a dull moment!

Below are some of our suggestions:

1. Live Painting - hire an artist to capture a moment of your wedding day LIVE! www.emilypaintsevents.com is a local artist who offers this service. Not only will you receive an amazing keepsake at the end of the night, your guests will LOVE watching them work their magic!

2. Comedian - we all could use a laugh right now, why not ensure your guests get one? The comedian could perform a set during or after dinner. Have them incorporate funny stories about your relationship to add a personalized touch.

3. Artisan - set up a station that is meaningful to your relationship that guests can visit throughout the evening. Was your first date at a coffee shop? Hire a coffee barista to create latte art. Tried cigars on a favourite vacation? Hire a cigar roller to show off their work. Are you like me and obsessed with chocolate? Hire a chocolatier for handmade truffle samples!

4. Board Games/Giant Games - giant games have been a backyard wedding staple for a while now, but why not take it one step further and add a different board game at each guest table. Make these multi purposeful by using them as your table numbers.

5. Custom Puzzle - another idea is to have a custom puzzle at every guest’s table. Each puzzle could be a different photo of key moments from your relationship.

6. Fireworks - why not end the night with a bang (literally). Make sure you double check with your venue and local guidelines, but it is sure to close out the night spectacularly!

Remember, you can still have speeches at your wedding which will also serve as entertainment. As well, your DJ will be able to recommend some safe games to play (think of the newlywed game!).
